I know of a couple places in LAX and one in SAN and SFO. 

 

LAX - The most famous one is on top of the Encounter restaruant...great views. The others are at the end of the runways. One is at or near the Hertz rental car lot and the other is at In-N-Out Burger. Another great one is where I stay when at LAX, the Embassy Suites South which overlooks the airport from the south. Also, you must visit the Proud Bird restaurant. They have aviation photos and memorabilia all over the walls and it feels like your eating in aviation heaven!!!

 

SFO -  The only place I have watched from is where the hotels face the water, just parallel across the water.

SAN - I am sure there are many but there is a parking garage right at the end of the runway. It's so close that the pilots have to avoid it while landing.

Thank you for the detailed reply. In fact I am back home right now but I went to In and out rest. and took good photos from there , in San also I took some good photos that I will share with my friends here as son as I transfer it into my computer.
