Yes, the principle is the same, although, on the Andover, it was the main u/c only,,which did that.

Do ypu mean that the Andover kneeled down just as the An 124/225 ?

Yes Jean Frandois, it's just a modified 748. Main differences are obviously the aft loading ramp, larger propellers, extended front u/c, and strengthend flooring. The extended fron u/c served to increase the prop clearance, but also helped when the aircraft, with its then unique ability for the main u/c to 'kneel down' which made the loading of vehicles directly into the aircraft, easier. An amazing aircraft in its time.
