Fighter bomber development of the F100 Sabre which never got beyond prototype stage though later did stirling work as high speed research mules for NASA. The unusual inlet ducts were in fact the for runner of the adjustable ducts found on most modern jet fighters, the location was to allow the safe ejection of a nuclear payload. Safe ejection of the pilot may have been less satisfactory.
