I built this model of Dick Hewitt's P-51D "Big Dick". Col. Hewitt was in the 8th AF, 78th FG, 82nd FS based out of Duxford, England and is credited with the greatest number of combat hours of all pilots in the 8th AF. He currently resides in Lawrence, KS and has also written a book entitled "Tales and Contrails". A must-read for any war buff.
