88mm FLAK 37 on Sd Ah 202
1/72 Altaya/Ixo model - 88mm Flugzeug Abwehr Kanone (FLAK)37 on Sd Ah (Sonder Anhänger - special trailer) 202. This gun is one of the best known WWII main weapons as it was intensively used in PAK (Panzer Abwehr Kanone - anti tank gun) role too. It could be operated either on grounded position or directly from the Sd Ah 202 trailer.

That's right, Ike. As soon as 1940-41, Germans discovered the anti tank power of their 88mm anti aircraft weapon. That was their unique answer at the beginning of the Barbarossa operation, when they met for the first time soviet tanks such as KV1, KV2 or T34 which overwhelmed most of their own AFVs at this moment (PzI, PzII, PzIII, and even PzIV).

Hi Jeff, You always come up with unique pieces. Intricate detail. The 88 FLAK was primarily anti aircraft I believe and also used as anti tank right? Very nice
