Hi all, I am new to social networking web sites so this is all a bit bewildering to me. So I suppose, in this box, I should tell you a bit about myself. I joined the RAF aged 15 in 1953. I was an Instrument basher which over the years morphed into an Avionic Systems engineer. I retired from the airforce in 1977 and worked in aircraft systems design for 10 years and them changed jobs to development of sonar systems for the oil industry and the Navy.
My collecting habits: First I do not make or modify models. At 75 years old my hands are a bit wobbly. So I collect 1:200 scale (I Don't live in a very big house) diecast or plastic military aircraft that I was accociated with during 25 years in the RAF. This means that I have a finite number of models to collect. some 40 in all. I have 36 of them todate and the 4 I am looking for are Hawker hunter Mk6 and Mk7, EE Lightning MK5 and Lancaster any mark. This does not mean that the models I have acquired are the final models for my collection, Idealy I want the exact serial numbers and Squadron marking that I was associated with.
I hope to get some leads to the aricraft I am missing or to contact people who could build and finnish these models for me.
