He's an author specialized in JagdGeschwadern (German Fighters wings) history.
He publishes a lot of books and booklets in French, English and German traductions.
Here is his site:
I got his brand new booklet regarding JG 26 ("The Abbeville Boys" or "Kids") "Schlageter" the emblem of which was a stylised S…

Hi, M8s !!
I got my new Altaya / IXO 1/72 model of a Fairchild Republic A10A Warthog, coded "FT / 78-0597" from the 23rd TAW, England AFB, Louisiana, 1988.
I selected to show it with retracted gear, as the 3 other models I own (Easy Model = Trumpeter) are in downed gear mode.
It looks quite more accurate regarding the wings dihedral than the 3 Easy Model A10s.
But, unfortunately, this model lacks of a lot of markings under the…

Hey, mates!
Let me introduce to you one of our WW1 heroes: capt. Georges Guynemer. He disappeared in action aged 22 the 11th September 1917. He scored 53 confirmed and 35 probable victories. Not the biggest ace of French Air Service (René FONCK was that guy), he became the most romantic hero of the war, archetype…

Hey, mates !
Look at this pic and compare the sizes of a B29, a VC-121E, a C5-B Galaxy and the NASA Boeing 747/Enterprise, all in 1/400 scale!
I thought that the B29 was a gigantic bomber !!
I'm squeezed !!
Regards to all !

Hey, my friends!
I got an old Dragon Wings 1/72 F16-C model, don't even remember the reference (72019 ? Could you help me ?).
It represents the N° 87-0241 of the 120th FS "Cougars", who participated to the first TMOTA (Tiger Meet Of The Americas), which took place at Buckley AFB, Colorado ANG from 8th to13th August 2001. It was hosted by the 140th Wing.
Here are some pics of the real F16-C, with pics of the diecast model. The biggest difference…

Hey, all!
The family historical saga continues!!!
I found 8 testimonial photos taken in July 1944 during France "invasion" by Anglo-American armies. Exactly, the shots were taken during Longny-au-Perche (61-Orne), Normandy (where my parents lived at the time as neighbours !!) liberation: I'm posting 3 of them.
This one shows a US M8 recco AFV crossing the village square:…

Hi, my friends!
I just scanned these old photos.
They show my father in 2 of them, aged 21 in 1946.
He was just beginning as Air Controller at Rennes Saint Jacques airfield (and just married my mother too !!).
The RAF controllers had just left and given the commands to french people.
At this time, General Charles de Gaulle made some visits to french airports to officialize young French freedom.
He used a C54, gift from President…
