Two more and last items: these are ABRAMS diecast HM models, to the unusual 1/56 scale. So are too some Tigers I that I posted earlier.

These ABRAMS come from the IRAQI FREEDOM operation  (March to May 2003):

The sand model is this of Platoon Commander, 2nd Platoon, "C" Company, 2nd Marine Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division.

The camouflaged one is 1st Platoon, "D" Company, Task Force Tarawa.

Only these 2 liveries were issued for the ABRAMS and, apart the previously described Tiger Is, there were no more 1/56 HM models (... but 1/48. It's a pity never ABRAMS nor Tigers I were re-issued within this new scale!).

This post closes the chapter of the 1/56 HM diecast AFVs models.

(... 1/56 HM diecast models: see 1/2 about Tigers I :

Bye, mates!

Very nice. So much details especially the night vision equipment and laser range finder.

looks like a great model done by HM.....youre lucky to have gotten thiese models..I plan to take both too, Thanks for sharing and posting, Jeff

Thank you, Mario. You could effectively find them in shops keeping old unsolded items. I found that my missing 1/56 HM Tiger I model (Michael Wittmann's "S04") could be found in a HM (same 1/56 scale) RC version in USA, for approximatively 30$ plus shipping. I'll try only to have it for static show.
