When they first the Boeing 747 the top deck was nearly a quarter of the length of the fuselage and then in the late 1980's with the 747-300 and 747-400 they extende to a little over a third and with latest 747-8 it is pretty close to half-way. And when they make a future plans in 15 or 20 years I hope they make the top deck all the way through like the airbus 380.
