Tupolev TU-104

Hey guys,

sky-classics are releasing a 1/200 TU-104 in Aeroflot, CSA and soviet airforce colors in september....very hard model to getting 1/200 i would see it as a must for ruski fans like me !!

So if you can survive with this small bug (I mean flaps), better take Phoenix.

Among recently released models of Soviet/Russian aircraft I would recommend only An-24 from Herpa. It's more or less OK. An-12 requires a lot of putty and sanding to eliminate ugly seams (and for sure new painting job and decaling afterwards). The best An-12 available now in made by Small World. Tu-154M from Phoenix is the best in show, but who the hell told them to make movable flaps? I hope strongly that Il-76 (coming up in July inshallah) will be OK.

As you see not much models in 1/200 are now in the market unfortunately.

If you are a kit maker I'll recommend you the whole bunch of Soviet and Russian aircrafts in 1/144 (resin) made by Rus Air. Being very realostic they are very detailed at the same time. Try them, you won't be disappointed. I am telling this to you just because I see no convenient models of Russian/Soviet airliners (diecast) in 1/200. I am both collector and kit maker (1/200). Now I make 747s (from 741 to 744). Pics will follow soon (sorry, I am pretty lazy guy to post it).

in fact, at the time, The Tu 144 was nicknamed Konkordski because it looked loke The Concorde! But all calculous gave the same shape for all these supersonic airliners, so it was not a spy copy but a calculous conjunction !!
