Review:

Mould - Now this was the first Gemini 767-300 release, and there are some issues. The shape of the nose is wrong. The nose is too pointy, and has some dimple looking depressions. The nose landing gear is also not true to the real aircraft. 767s nose gear slants upwards toward the nose, but on this release the nose gear is almost parallel to the ground. The wings also seem to be to thick, especially around the root. Aside from those minor issues which for most collectors wouldn't be a deal breaker the mould is fantastic. The tail section of the model is done very well, and all dimensions are correct to scale. I'm impressed with this mould, and some of the issues have been fixed on the newer 767 models, but for this specific model the few small flaws are minor compared to the overall mould.

Overall I give the mould a 8.6 out of 10.

Livery - From the nose of the model to the back of the plane there wasn't much Gemini had to do to get the livery correct. All they had to do was paint it white, and they did. This models livery score could really only lose points in the tail section. There are just a few minor placement issues, both with the woman's face on the tail. First her lips, the purple part in particular, is too big. Also the purple area under her chin is too thick. Other than those too small issues the placement of the livery is great. There are some issues with color though. The three lighter shades of purple are all too light, and at the same time the darker shade of purple is too dark. However, the pink area and orange flower are both correct. Overall the colors aren't off that bad, and since the placement is mostly correct this stunning livery looks great!

Overall I give the livery a 9.1 out of 10.

Details - First we must cover the cockpit windows. The cockpit windows are a huge deal killer for a lot of collectors, and it has some problems on this model. It's placed too high up, and just looks overstated. When I say it looks overstated it's almost like Gemini place it and then hit the bold button. Also the engines are pretty bare on the real plane, but there not completely white like Gemini has them. There are at least the noticeable lines where the engine separates for the reverse trusts. Now overall the model is detailed very very well, and accurately! All pitot tubes, static ports, APU exhausts, lights, and antennas are correctly placed. The passenger windows, and exits are correctly placed. The cargo doors are all correct. Great job on the details Gemini! Despite the few issues the attention to detail on this model makes it its best section points wise.

Overall I give the details 9.2 out of 10.

Value for money - This model was Gemini's first 767, and with Hawaiian being a popular airline and livery for collectors it is long sold out. You should expect to pay over $90.00 for one now if you can find one, and that would be a pretty good deal. One sold on ebay recently for over $120.00. Even at $90.00 though it would be a gem for anyones collection.

Overview - Overall this model doesn't disappoint. It has some problems with the nose especially, but are all pretty minor issues. If anything the cockpit windows would be the biggest deterrent to collectors, but I think the rest of the model makes up for that issue. Gemini has done a great job with this release, and mould. Some re-tooling has already been done on the newer releases. With this livery on this aircraft it really is a stunning model.

Overall the model receives a 9.0 out of 10.
